Cultural theory and philosophical anthropology with an ethnographic research focus on phenomenologies of sound, the sonic 'self', memory and metaphor, sound design, studio discourse, and compositional process. Research interests in individuality, phenomenology, relational musicology, symbolic interactionism, identity and narrative, consciousness, imagination, and technological mediation.
